On Wix every part of this finding is a field in the editor or the dashboard. The title, the summary and the switch that hides a page are in each page’s SEO panel, headings and photo descriptions are set on the element itself, and the language is one site setting.
The title and summary
In the editor, click Pages & Menu on the left.
Click the More Actions icon beside the page, then SEO basics.
Title tag (title in search results): what the page offers and where, between 30 and 60 characters.
Meta description (description in search results): one or two sentences, between 120 and 155 characters.
Publish. Wix also uses these two for the page’s share preview.
To set a pattern for many pages at once, such as every product page, use SEO & GEO in the dashboard, then SEO Settings, choose the page type and click Edit beside Basics & social share.
A page hidden from search engines
In the same SEO panel, Let search engines index this page must be switched on for every page you want found. Hiding a page from your menu does not hide it from search engines, and switching this off does, so check it on the page the finding names.
One main heading
Wix decides a heading’s level from a setting on the text, not from how big it looks. Each page wants one Heading 1 that says what the page is for, and Heading 2 for its sections.
Click the text in the editor, then Edit Text.
SEO & accessibility.
Choose the level from Choose HTML tag: H1 for the page title, H2 for sections.
Describe your photos
Click the image in the editor, then the Settings icon.
Describe the photo in the field labelled
What’s in the image?. That field is the image’s alt text, and it is what a screen reader and a search engine read.
The site language
In the dashboard, open Settings, then Language & region, and set Site language to the language your pages are written in.
Checking it worked
Publish, open the page, view its source and search for <h1 (one result), name="description" (your summary), noindex (no result) and lang= (your language). Then re-run your scan.
If your screens do not look like this, the wording has moved rather than the setting. Search your platform for the words in bold above. If you still cannot find it, send us the scan link and we will tell you where it is on your setup.
